TESTIMONIAL FOR CILAC Freire

This LGBTQ program has been so invaluable to me. I can´t stress enough how much the teachers and my homestay family have positively impacted me in so many ways. This program has made me want to really push myself to become fluent in Spanish as well as to continue the fight for social justice issues locally and globally. I will definitely be back either in person or through skype as I will speak highly of this program to anyone who will listen! What a blessing to have the LGBTQ program available here. Thank you for all your hard work and commitment to this school and social justice in general. I will miss the teachers and my homestay family immensely!

I was very impressed with all of my teachers. I could tell they all had training teaching Spanish to students. Lety did a wonderful job explaining and helping us understand Spanish grammar. The cultural activities were very powerful and culture focused. The activities helped me understand the culture of Mexico. I loved my host family. Araceli cared for me as one of her own. I really appreciate her positive attitude and care for the students. CILAC Freire is a special place with wonderful people! Thank you for offering such a unique program, encouraging us to be well informed and to think of others.
